State Public Utility Commissions
Gives access to state Public Utility Commissions; the state agency
in charge of siting power lines, pipelines and utilities. State
PUCs also give approval for rate adjustments for all utilities
serving customers in that state. A useful link to understand what
your state plans are for meeting consumer and industrial needs on
electrical power and all other utilities. This agency allows for
public input in all decisions regarding utility demand and supply.

State Energy Profiles
Provides information on electric utilities fuel consumption, electricity
generated, population served, type of largest power plants, and pollution

Regional Energy Profiles
Provide regional data on generating capacity and consumption trends,
but include maps of transmission lines and location of power plants,
etc. Just recently available only has data for Northeast and MidAtlantic,

EIA provides rankings of various energy data by state, by country,
and by company. Great for top ten lists or finding out where your
local coal mining company or utility fits in the national energy scene.
