February 25: "The Story of Plastic" Film Screening and Discussion

The Film "The Story of Plastic" offers a detailed look into the environmental damage and human rights abuses that occur throughout the lifecycle of plastic. It exposes the role of the oil and gas industry that has successfully manipulated the narrative around plastic production and its disposal. An inspiring film, Story of Plastic asks what companies, countries and people can do to fix the devastation plastic is creating.

Register for this event and receive the link to view the film "The Story of Plastic" two weeks before the Thursday, Feb. 25 panel discussion, hosted by the Redwood Chapter of the Sierra Club. The link to the Feb. 25 Zoom panel discussion will be emailed to all registrants the morning of the event.

The panel discussion will feature regional experts on zero waste, including Will Bakx, Project Manager at Renewable Sonoma, Celia Furber, Zero Waste Manager for Recology, and Todd Sutton, owner of Waste Sleuth & Associates. It will be moderated by Leslie Lukacs, the executive director of Zero Waste Sonoma.
