Marin County is projected to be working on a Stream Conservation Area Ordinance this year. Since 2007, the county has skirted this particular issue, and has allowed development in the SGV area, which resulted in their being sued by SPAWN because of the threats to the endangered Coho Salmon. Their last attempt at an ordinance was nonviable given that it did not offer environmentally sound set backs, nor did it provide homeowners with incentives for doing the right thing, among other flaws.
