According to polls by the Pew Research Center, young people and people of color are among the strongest supporters of clean energy, which is one of the reasons why polluters are happy if they stay away from the polls. More and more states are making it harder for minorities and youth to vote, largely through "voter ID" laws requiring forms of identification that are often difficult and expensive to obtain. The figures shown here pertain to potential voters ages 18 to 29.
