Ice skating on a crystal clear lake in Sweden

It doesn't look like it, but the ice on this lake in Sweden is almost four inches thick! Crystal clear ice occurs when water freezes just below its freezing point (around 30 degrees Fahrenheit), and fairly slowly. Not all clear ice will safely support your weight though, so check with an expert before you strap on your skates.

"This whole skating season [has] been incredible. I've been out for nine days in a row," wrote Jonas Landmark, the man who made the video. "We went through 11 lakes and rivers one day." He also claims to have seen fish swimming around. So, if you're bored of all those regular American aquariums, head to Sweden this winter to up your game.
