Planting Air Purifiers

Trees provide cooling shade and cleanse the air of carbon dioxide. Denver, Colorado, has committed to planting a million new trees over the next two decades. To kick off this initiative, Mayor John Hickenlooper asked volunteers to plant 7,000 trees in a seven-day period, encompassing Earth Day and Arbor Day. The Denver-area Enos Mills Group of the Sierra Club joined with other volunteers to accomplish that goal. In fact, we exceeded expectations and planted over 12,529 trees in our city in just one week.
