Biking Over the Golden Gate

It may be a bit of a stretch to say that bicycling from Mill Valley across the Golden Gate to workin downtown San Francisco is doing much to curb global warming. It's more about exercise and enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Bay Area. I'd be taking the bus otherwise, though I suppose with one less passenger, the bus might pump a tiny bit less carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. More importantly, I suppose, is that I keep maintaining my habit of using the bicycle as transportation, whether it's commuting to work or visiting a friend or going shopping.

Besides, hardly anything feels as virtuous and satisfying as sitting down at my desk to work after an 80 minute bike ride and a shower. And a cup of coffee. (Hey, it's fair trade blend....)
