But for daily nurture, my Backyard Wildlife Habitat (officially certified by the National Wildlife Federation) is my favorite place. Especially after all the recent tragedies, I greatly appreciate seeing all the plant and animal life in my own backyard. It is very life-affirming. I'm very concerned about the future of our planet, but being a good steward of my own backyard has been a way that I can feel I'm doing something to make the world a better place.
