My favorite part is the rhododendron tunnel--a stretch of rhododendrons close to the top that completely enclose the trail so as to make it a tunnel. It lasts for about 100 yards and in the spring/summer is like passing through the gates to heaven. It was always a special place for me because of its beauty and because it was close to the summit!
