Show and tell about places in nature that were, or are, important to you. Big majestic places, or everyday places.
Who: Josh
Where: San Onofre, California
Why: It's just a barren beach, a parking lot, and an unimpressive
cliff right next to a nuclear power plant, but San Onofre is a truly
special place nonetheless.
It's special because the surf is consistent, the people are laid back, and
everyone is there for the same reason--to immerse themselves in sensation.
Wet, cold, salty, powerful. At its best, you drop in with a couple of
other longboarders, walk out to the nose, and share a smile borne of sheer
pleasure.
