Silver Falls State Park, Oregon

Silver Falls State Park, Oregon
This Place Is Special To: Ben

About This Place: My family and I often hike at the Silver Falls, one of many beautiful State Parks we are fortunate to have in Oregon. Situated within driving distance south of downtown Portland, Silver Falls offers over 10 miles of well-maintained hiking trails. We are presented with beautiful views of 11 different falls, rock formations, evergreen trees, interesting (and often rare) species of plants, birds and other wildlife. These falls are even more spectacular when the snow melts in the mountains and the water runs fast and strong through the creeks, many of which wind through Silver Falls. Hiking these trails rejuvenates our hearts and minds, gives us a chance to stop and reflect on what matters most, and offers an opportunity to soak in what was, and what continues to be, good and clean.
