Show and tell about places in nature that were, or are, important to you. Big majestic places, or everyday places.

Who: Lou
Where: Tehipite Valley from "Poop-Out-Point" |
Why: I count as special any place requiring so much effort to get to,
but this view despite its mundane nickname speaks for itself. Whether
you've backpacked 14 miles and still face a quad-killing 3000-foot
descent, or your capacity for inspiration has been exhausted by ascending
the 100 switchbacks, Tehipite Valley in the Great Canyon of the Middle
Fork, a "Yosemite without the crowds" because of limited access, remains
one of the most beautiful places on this planet. (Warning: Lou cautions that this is "a difficult
hike best undertaken by experienced backpackers who've done their homework.")
