Sustainable Consumption
Kay's Kitchen: Recipes from The Garden Gourmet

Here are some recipe ideas to get you started on the road to more sustainable eating. Compared to the diet that most Americans eat, these recipes focus more on whole grains, fresh vegetables and fruits, beans and legumes, and other plant-based foods to create colorful and delicious dishes that are good for you and good for the planet.

Kay Bushnell, who created the recipes, teaches plant-based cooking that features organic, seasonal foods. She is the Garden Gourmet in a community access television cooking series and writes a column with recipes for the newsletter of the Sierra Club Loma Prieta Chapter.
