 Peru-U.S. Free Trade Agreement
On November 8, 2007, the Peru Free Trade Agreement was passed in Congress. Though this agreement does contain some notable improvements with respect to trade in illegal timber, multi-lateral environmental agreements, and labor right, these are only the first steps towards the establishment of a sustainable model for future trade agreements.
Please read the joint Sierra Club-Friends of the Earth statement on this agreement.
