The Sierra Club tagline is: "Enjoy, explore, and protect the planet." Thousands of people in our state take part every year in Washington State Chapter events dedicated to the "explore" and "enjoy" parts of our mission. If you'd like to join them, check out our month-at-a-glance Calendar.

The priorities of the chapter also encompass the crucial third part of the Sierra Club mission: "Protect the planet that we love to explore and enjoy." Our volunteers work hard to achieve a broad range of well-defined conservation goals, in ways ranging from hands-on habitat restoration to active lobbying for better legislation.
