With the 2008 hurricane season officially under way, the Sierra Club and Plan!tNow have teamed up to release the first of two sets of "Get Prepared" public service announcements on climate change and storm preparedness, featuring Academy Award-winning actor Morgan Freeman. The announcements encourage people living in hurricane and severe-storm affected areas to act now, before the next big storm, to reduce their risks and save lives and property.
