1/12/2025:  Bear Mountain State Park- It was a really fun day, and we were so lucky to have beautiful sunny weather! Our entire group of 91 students (sixth, seventh, and eighth graders) plus NYCICO leaders, Catrock youth leaders, and volunteers, was all able to skate together in the first session. Then the kids enjoyed their delicious lunches by the cozy fireplace and fun Carousel rides thanks to your generosity - they appreciated the opportunity to ride it! After lunch, we split up into 3 groups, and each group hiked a different trail up Bear Mountain and enjoyed some great views of the lake and the Hudson River, and views of the ice rink from above! We had only a few minutes before boarding the buses, which was just enough time for some kids to roll down the big grassy hill:) It was a fun-filled day outdoors!
