Despite the rain, we had a great time on our back up rain plan! We explored Untermyer Gardens for a couple hours, then when the rain started went to nearby Hudson River Museum where we did Earth Month-inspired art activities such as musical instruments from recycled materials and decorated and planted flower pots that the kids took home, saw a really cool planetarium and heard the sound of a black hole, explored artwork through a scavenger hunt and looked at paintings of the Hudson River from the 19th century noting how the landscape changed due to industry, and finally ran around outside during the rain breaks:)
