Two Bronx schools joined up for a wild two night, three day camping adventure!  13 5th graders from PS 159 and 20 5th graders from Samara Community School experienced so many firsts at AMC Harriman- from swimming in a lake to seeing red efts while hiking, making S'mores and canoeing to sleeping in a tent and learning how to read trail markers!  Students learned so many lessons- being brave while away from home, how to collaborate with others to build a tent, following trail markers and so much more!  Although it rained the first night into the first day, students stayed positive and were then very appreciative when the sun came out!  Thank you to CatRock leaders who helped with everything from getting gear together to cooking the food and starting the campfire!  NYCICO trips would not be possible without the amazing support of CatRock!
