Wagnar Middle School Goes Apple Picking and Hiking!

A Student Reflection on their NYCICO experience:  I just wanted to tell you how much I loved the apple picking/ hiking field trip! I got to pick many big and juicy apples (that my parents loved), and I got to hike and see a breathtaking view! We were also very lucky with the weather. First, we went apple picking. I picked many apples and they were delicious! I stuffed my bag to the brim and was smiling the whole time. I was sad when we had to go to lunch, but was automatically brought to joy again when I saw the lunch. I ate some food that I brought from home, but I loved the chips, large cookie, and the apple cider donut (which I've never tried before, but loved the taste)! After lunch, we went hiking. It was super fun, and I loved climbing up the mountain! I couldn't stop looking at everything I passed, and my jaw dropped at the view at the top. It was the Hudson River, and many boats were gliding across the glistening water. We also saw what I think was a peregrine falcon and a big black hawk. When we went down the mountain again, I was smiling and already guessing what the next Saturday field trip will be! In conclusion, I had a blast today and I hope we go on more of these magnificent Saturday field trips!
