10/13/25: THUE set out on our annual Indigenous People Day camping trip at AMC Harriman. The group consisted of 5 youth ages 12 to 16 and 5 adults volunteers and one toddler. We stayed at one of a backcountry sites which was about a half mile walk from the center. We experienced a lot of rain and cold temperatures. Fortunately, we were well prepared for those conditions. The youth learned skills like shelter building, fire building and cooking in the rain. Overall it was a tough weekend but many gains were made in terms of team building and skills learning.
