ATLANTA — Today, the Sierra Club Georgia Chapter is proud to announce endorsements of candidates we are excited to work with starting in 2027 to bring more clean energy to our state, protect our natural places, and ensure power bills are fair and equitable.
“We are at a tipping point in Georgia,” said Sierra Club Georgia Chapter Director Adrien Webber. “The influx of data centers is creating an unprecedented demand for electricity, and if that demand is used as an excuse to expand our use of fossil fuels, our communities will pay the price. Power bills will continue to go up, extreme weather events will become more frequent and more dangerous, and our air and water will get more polluted. That’s why we're so proud to endorse this slate of candidates who plan to actually address critical issues like these when they get elected.”
The Sierra Club Georgia Chapter’s 2026 endorsements include:
- Governor: Keisha Lance Bottoms
- Lieutenant Governor: Josh McLaurin
- Attorney General: Tanya Miller
- Agriculture Commissioner: Katherine Juhan-Arnold
