The Los Padres Chapter of the Sierra Club serves California's Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. The Los Padres Chapter’s four groups - Arguello, Santa Barbara, Ventura and Conejo - encompasses a wide and unique diversity of natural resources. From our wilderness areas in the St. Ynez Mountains to the coastal beauty of "America's Riviera" we have a number of America's most special places. Enjoy them with us and please help us save the special ones that are left. If you need to contact somebody about a conservation issue, please get in touch with Jim Hines.
Your source for the latest environmental news for our region. Our mountains are the primary recovery site for the largest of all of North America's birds - the California Condor. Our Chapter’s newsletter, The Condor Call, is named after this magnificent raptor. Read the latest issue, the August-September 2021 Condor Call.
