That photograph above shows our Lower Eastern Shore Group members engaging with students about environmental protection and preservation at the Upper Shore Youth Environmental Action Summit at Chesapeake College in Wye Mills last week. The level of their interest and determination to forge a career in this field was phenomenal.
That's why it is important for us to let them know of all the pathways they can take to success, including by becoming active with Sierra Club. With Groups throughout the State, they can find their entry way here. If they reside in Worcester, Wicomico, Somerset of Dorchester County, they can join us locally here.
Share our mission, our passion and our websites with your young friends, family, and students. We will grow our successes when they grow with us.
Here for the Maryland Chapter. Here for our Lower Eastern Shore Group. The possibilities are endless.
There are many problems facing us right now and they are only going to get worse, given the Environmental Protection Agency's recent turnaround from its real mission of protecting the environment to one of appeasing fossil fuel industries. A stunning example is here, EPA Considers Giving Oil and Gas Companies More ‘Flexibility’ to Dispose of Highly Toxic Wastewater . If this makes you sick, it should make you act. Start with our youth. They are our future.
Thanks for all you do for the environment.
