There we are, pictured above, enjoying a refreshing picnic lunch together during our June in-person general membership meeting. The vibe was stimulating, the excitement about our mission palpable, and our commitment to Mother Earth's protection celebrated and strengthened.
If you want to activate your commitment to Sierra Club's sacred mission to "protect, preserve and enjoy the planet," join us in July and August at the tabling events we will conduct in Worcester and Somerset Counties respectively. Our calendar is here, awaiting your registration. There are never too many cooks in our kitchen.
On July 12th, we'll be at Ocean Pines Farmers Market, with a game for children and information for the grown-ups. It's always a happy day, immersed in our mission to spread the word on best ways to honor our great gift of Earth. On August 2nd, we'll be at Coops to Co-Ops in Princess Anne, enjoying our place among numerous engaging vendors and unbeatably scrumptious homemade foods. We know you are busy. Tabling with us is a good way to reduce stress, recalibrate energy, and reward yourself with the satisfaction of knowing you did your part to better our environment. Our calendar is here. Your pleasure in joining us is your future to create.
Elections are coming in November, and it's not too early to start thinking about whether you might want to run for a position on our LES Group executive committee. You may have talents you are not even aware of yet. Give yourself a try. Challenge your concerns. Open up the windows and run for office with us. If you have an interest in running for a position on our executive committee, email me here, and let's get that ball rolling.
Thanks for all you do for the environment,
Jacky Grindrod Vice-Chair Sierra Club Lower Eastern Shore Group
