About Us

The Sierra Club Blue Oak Group is a regional unit of the Sierra Club, in five Northern California counties; most meetings take place in the city of Chico, located about 100 miles north of Sacramento. The 1200 members have interests in both the conservation and enjoyment of wilderness and the natural world. The Group organizes hiking and other outdoor activities; it also provides a focused response to environmental issues in the region. It is operated entirely by volunteers.  Mailing address:  Blue Oak Group, P.O. Box 2012, Chico, Ca. 95927.

Butte County Trail Guide:  The Blue Oak (formerly Yahi) Group has created Hiking Butte County, a trail guide for self-guided hikes in our area.
