The Energy Savers Network needs volunteers to fulfill a commitment to help lower energy costs for 1,000 households in properties of the Asheville Housing Authority. No special skills are required. Volunteers will receive training before taking on tasks such as weatherstripping, installing low-flow shower heads, changing light bulbs, sealing ducts, etc. Shifts are scheduled for 9 am to noon and 1 pm to 4 pm each Monday-Thursday. It will be most helpful if you can do several shifts and even better if you bring a friend or two.
