VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Hand Out Our Endorsement Cards to Voters

Early voting starts Oct. 15, and we need you to help us hand out our endorsement cards outside voting sites. We're encouraging voters to cast a vote for every race on the ballot - especially the judicial races, where key races can be decided by a few hundred votes. For instance, in 2022, a North Carolina Supreme Court race was lost by only 401 votes. Our endorsement cards help people vote the whole ballot, including these important races with such narrow margins.

We're looking for volunteers who can do three-hour shifts during early voting and on Election Day.

Early voting: These shifts are from Oct. 15-31 for seven early voting sites. To sign up, click this link and pick your desired early voting site from the menu across the top of the page. Sign up by clicking the red "Sign Up" button next to the shift you want.

Election Day: These volunteers will stand outside polling places on Tuesday, Nov. 3. To sign up, click this link and pick your desired shift from the tabs across the top of the page, and then scroll down to find the polling place you'd like to volunteer at.

Once you sign up, you'll receive a confirmation email that lists the 10 front porches where they can pick up their endorsement cards and either a neck sign or a sticker to identify them as a member of the Sierra Club.

Our endorsements: Click the "Political" tab across the top of the page, and that will take you to a page with a link to our endorsements.

If you need to change your shift at the last minute, please reach out to Judy at judymattox@gmail.com or 615-584-4570. She'll try to get a substitute for you.

If you have questions, please email WNCSierra.polls@gmail.com or text Mayo Taylor at 828-582-1061.
