Our water program works at the intersection of science, policy, and grassroots organizing to protect Texas’ most precious natural resource. We engage at the local, state, and national levels to safeguard access to clean water for all communities - especially those disproportionately impacted by poor water quality and scarcity. From fighting pollution threats to advancing water-efficient infrastructure, we are committed to long-term water resilience across Texas.

Learn More About Our Program Areas

Water Quality

We advocate for safe drinking water, healthy rivers and bays, and resilient ecosystems - because every community deserves access to water they can trust.

Water Quantity

With prolonged droughts, rapid population growth, and increasing industrial demand, many regions are struggling to meet long-term water needs.

Water Advocacy

Whether it’s at the Texas Legislature, state agencies, or local utility boards, we push for equitable, science-based policies, while empowering Texans to get engaged in the decision-making process.

Water News & Education

We provide up-to-date information on water policy, science, and local campaigns, so every Texan can be an informed advocate for clean, abundant water in their community.
