Mt Baker Group
Sierra Club for San Juan, Skagit, and Whatcom Counties
Welcome to the website of the Mt Baker Group!
We are the local section of the Sierra Club, the oldest and largest conservation organization in the United States, and part of the Sierra Club Washington Chapter.
The Mt Baker Group exists to provide opportunities to explore, appreciate, and protect our natural environment and its many ecosystems. We extend an open invitation to anyone who would like to join us in these pursuits.
The Mt Baker Group is led by individuals from San Juan, Skagit, and Whatcom counties, who meet monthly to determine priorities and plan activities, events, and actions. We publish a monthly newsletter and host regular outings in a variety of settings. We are engaged in wildlife protection, preservation of legacy forests, water quality, educational events and local political endorsements.
Everyone is welcome to our monthly leadership meetings, which occur on the second Thursday of the month at 5:30 PM. If you have any questions about the Mt Baker Group or would like to attend our meeting, would like to subscribe to our newsletter, or if you have questions about our outings, please contact us by clicking here.
