SOUTHERN EXPOSURE Film Screening April 17

Southern Exposure films will be shown in Huntsville  Wednesday April 17th at UAH, in Shelby Center room 107.  Films start at 6:30.  There will be a panel answering questions about the films, including Robert Perry, a Chickasaw Native, who is in the film We Never Left; a Nature Conservancy official who will talk about fish passage on the Alabama River and the film Mussel Memory; and someone from Wild Alabama to talk about the film Lullaby for Sipsey.

SOUTHERN EXPOSURE is a film fellowship program that is actively raising awareness about Alabama’s incredible natural resources and important environmental issues that impact all of us. This innovative summer fellowship brings emerging filmmakers from across the country to tell authentic, engaging stories through short documentary films about Alabama’s environment — and the people who cherish it — from the mountains to the coast. The program is hosted by Alabama Rivers Alliance each summer.

For a map of the UAH campus, go to www.uah.edu/map Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Printable Map under Links. Shelby Center is labeled SST on the map. Use the main campus entrance on Sparkman Dr. and park to the side of the building labeled SSB on the map (Student Services Building).
