October Speaker Series: How to Spot a Dangerous Tree

Join us for our next monthly speaker series — How to Spot a Dangerous Tree — on Tuesday, October 11 at 6:30pm! We'll be joined by Peter Jenkins, a certified arborist with the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA). During the Speaker Series, Peter will lead us tree enthusiasts through the steps of his simple but thorough tree assessment program. He will show us what to look for and what to be concerned about so that you understand trees better and so that you know when it's time to call a professional for help or guidance. Peter is the founder of Tree Climbers International (TCI), the world's first organization and school for recreational tree climbers. Peter has spent his life studying trees and the natural phenomena that impact their health.

The event will be held in-person at the Old Bakery Beer Company at 400 Landmarks Boulevard in Alton, Illinois. The speaking program will begin at 6:30pm in the room adjacent to Old Bakery Beer Company's dining room. There is a virtual option to tune into the speaking program via Zoom for folks who are unable to join us in-person. Please note that the speaker, Peter Jenkins, will be joining us via Zoom. Register here to join us (either virtually or in-person) for our October Speaker Series to learn more from Peter Jenkins about trees!
