Join a Maine Climate Action Team in Your Community
Mainers are demanding action to protect our climate and move as quickly as possible to 100% clean energy. We simply can’t wait for the next election to begin making progress on this goal. That’s why we are launching our Maine Climate Action Team (CAT) program. Local Climate Action Teams are organizing now throughout Maine to implement climate solutions including community solar projects, solar panels on school or town buildings, developing a town energy efficiency plan, advocating for public transportation, launching a local recycling/compost program, opposing dirty energy projects and much more.
To help you get started on forming a Climate Action Team in your town, we've prepared a "Guide for Starting Your Local Climate Action Team" which provides step-by-step suggestions for planning and running your first couple of CAT meetings.
The theme of the evening will be "The Climate March Continues: Local to Global," celebrating our progress in Maine since the dynamic People's Climate March in New York City in 2014, and looking forward to the United Nations Climate Conference in Paris in December. Our guest speaker, John Coequyt, is Director of national Sierra Club's International Climate Programs. John will represent that Club at the UN Climate Conference.

Go Solar in Maine with Sierra Club and Revision Energy
To support our important environmental advocacy and education work, Maine's largest solar installer ReVision Energy will make a donation for each solar system, purchased by a Sierra Club supporter. To get started, schedule a free appointment with ReVision for an estimate for a photovoltaic and/or hot water solar system for your home or business.
Thanks for doing your part for cleaner energy and helping to support the Sierra Club Maine by going solar!
