The laws and regulations that protect wetlands are under attack across the nation. This story is about Indiana where more of that state’s pollution will go into the Great Lakes and subsequently into the Mississippi River basin.

In August, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rejected a petition by several groups that sought to drastically increase regulation of discharges from concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFOs). The EPA claims that it is conducting a;comprehensive evaluation of the CAFO program, including the issues raised by the these groups.

Destructive power boats called wake boats are a concern in Minnesota. Michigan is taking action.
