Missouri Sierra Club

There will be a Sierra Club membership meeting in Kirksville on Tuesday September 23rd at 7pm at the Kirksville Arts Association, 117 South Franklin (zip 63501). This will be an opportunity to discuss our current campaigns, including preserving the Ozark National Scenic Riverways, promoting wind and solar energy, and protecting wilderness areas in Missouri.

A photo exhibition of Missouri wilderness areas will be displayed in the gallery where we will meet. Sierra Club leaders Richard Spener and Toni Armstrong produced the photo exhibition to mark the 50th Anniversary of the federal Wilderness Act.

Thanks to James Harmon, who organized this meeting to provide an opportunity for activists in northeast Missouri to collaborate on key issues facing our state.
