Ask Sam Graves to co-sponsor HR502 – Land and Water Conservation Fund

This bill amends the Land and Water Conservation Fund Act of 1965 to make permanent the authorization for the Land and Water Conservation Fund. No less than 1.5% of the annual authorized funding amount or $10 million, whichever is greater, shall be used for projects that secure recreational public access to existing federal public land for hunting, fishing, and other recreational purposes.

There is a national effort to get enough U.S. Representatives to co-sponsor this bill, which was referred to the House Subcommittee on Water, Power, and Oceans in Feb.  We need as many Republicans as possible on board as well as those Democrats we can count on already.  Therefore, we locally are being asked to contact U.S. Rep. Sam Graves, whose district contains some of our membership.

Handwritten mail is generally thought to have more clout, but please contact Rep. Graves either by mail at 1135 Longworth HOB, Washington, DC 20515; or by phone at (202) 225-7041; or by email at https://graves.house.gov/contact
