This summer, we’re celebrating all of our supporters – because YOU are what makes the Angeles Chapter a vibrant part of the Sierra Club! Register today to reserve your spot at the picnic. Space is limited to 150 guests and we do anticipate reaching capacity. You can buy tickets at: https://sc.org/AngelesPicnic
The Cabrillo Waterfront Sports Complex is located on San Pedro and is a fantastic place for a bring-your-own picnic day in the sunshine. The ocean views are stunning! There is plenty of space outside to set up your picnic area - complete with picnic tables and outdoor grills (bring your own supplies). Guests are permitted to bring camp stoves and pop up tents, beach chairs and umbrellas, hammocks, ice chests, and games – but no alcohol is allowed on the premises nor pets unless it is a certified service animal (please let us know in advance).
Parking is free and there are ramps for accessibility into the building as well as down to the beach and pool area. There are bathrooms conveniently located inside the building and by the waterfront.
There will be plenty of activities to choose from, starting with the Membership Marketplace where you can experience some of our activity sections - perhaps sign up for a hike or learn more about our Wilderness Travel Course.
Throughout the day, you can bid on terrific auction items (which will also be available for virtual bidding online two weeks before the event! Stay tuned for more information on that!)
Come say hello to the new Chapter Director! They will be speaking at the event and sharing their vision for what’s next in our Chapter’s history.
A schedule of events will be posted - feel free to join any one (or more!) of our free activities or take a walk to the local tide pools.
