We are deeply grateful to Phil Gaimon, retired pro cyclist, and the entire Cookie Fondo Team for their generous support of the Angeles Chapter of the Sierra Club at Phil’s Cookie Fondo 2025. Their incredible event not only brought riders together for a day of challenge, community, and pure joy—it also helped protect the places we love most: the Santa Monica Mountains, where Phil and his crew regularly ride.

This year’s Fondo was an unforgettable celebration of outdoor fun, healthy living, and connection with nature. Phil’s generosity extended beyond the ride itself—he solicited thousands of dollars’ worth of premium cycling equipment for a silent auction, with all proceeds benefiting the Sierra Club. These funds will directly advance our mission:

  • Explore and enjoy — promoting outdoor recreation and deeper connections with nature.
  • Protect and restore — advocating for responsible use of our natural resources and safeguarding the ecosystems that sustain us all.

Riders tackled stunning climbs, breathed in the ocean air, and basked in perfect California sunshine—all while helping showcase Southern California as a world-class cycling destination. Phil personally designs the courses, gathers rider gifts from his favorite sponsors, invites his pro friends, and curates an amazing post-ride feast featuring local celebrity chefs—and yes, 10,000 gourmet cookies along the route!
A heartfelt thank you to our amazing volunteers—Elizabeth Neat, Henri Prevost, Ann Majchrzak, Peter Niemiec, and Jess Contreras—for their energy and dedication. Special thanks as well to Jen Gregg, whose insights and guidance from past events were invaluable.
We’re so grateful for everyone who made this event a success. I think we all agree—it was a day to remember, and we can’t wait to see everyone again at Whiskey Fondo this spring!
If you would like to support this fundraiser, it’s not too late. You can donate anytime at Phil's Cookie Fondo Fundraiser 2025.
