Join Us for Our First Tree Care Event of the Year in Sunland-Tujunga, CA!
We have our first Tree Care event of 2026 coming up on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 8 a.m. - 10 a.m. We will be meeting in the parking lot behind Council District 7 at 7747 Foothill Blvd. in Tujunga. Each person will be assigned four or more trees to water. We will provide the water jugs and the water. The trees are all on Foothill and Sunland Boulevard in S-T.
The reason we do this is because the City of L.A. no longer waters these trees and our rain is so infrequent that many of our trees are unhealthy or have died and will not be replaced.
We will also have buckets and mulch for each tree you water. The mulch helps retain the moisture and acts as a barrier to the water rolling off the base of the tree into the gutter.
If you can come, please do. Bring your children, grandchildren, neighbors and friends. Meet others interested in the environment and get a little exercise!
All you need to bring is gloves, a hat and sunscreen (if you need it!) Everything else will be provided and we will have water and snacks.
