Tampa Bay is one of 15 groups of the Florida Sierra Club chapter, consisting of members statewide. The Tampa Bay growing membership is made up of more than 2,700 supporters of the environment living primarily in Hillsborough, east Pasco, and east Hernando counties.  In addition to monthly programs, our certified outings leaders offer hiking, biking, paddling, and camping trips, and our Inspiring Connections Outdoors (ICO) program brings youth groups on outings to explore nearby nature and wildlife.  Our committees work hard on issues of regional importance such as phosphate mining, land conservation, clean water, climate change, and renewable energy. We also work with public officials and legislators both on the local and state levels to educate them on environmental issues that will impact the health of future generations.
