Please join the Beyond Oil Team to help plan for next steps for advocacy and events this coming fall, and commemorate the horrific oil spill at Kalamazoo in July 2010. The group will take time to watch short films about the incident and have a shared group discussion making connections to opposing Enbridge Line 5 - the continuation of Line 3/93 from Minnesota into Michigan and Wisconsin.
This month’s meeting will also come as a celebration of the team’s contribution to the national total of 75,000 folded to break a world record to raise awareness about the harms of Enbridge Line 5. These efforts brought greater awareness and community to understand the importance of opposing Enbridge Line 5. Examples of our events include a sold-out screening of the “Bad River” film on July 24th at the Trylon Theater. Come join the meeting on July 28th.
