Today the Sierra Club announces its endorsement of Rep. Ilhan Omar for her reelection campaign in Minnesota's 5th Congressional District.
"Representative Ilhan Omar has been a champion for protecting our communities and the environment we depend on. We are proud to endorse her work for climate justice, expanding affordable clean energy, and the transition to a more just, equitable and sustainable economic future,” said Joe Wightkin, Political Chair for the Sierra Club North Star Chapter.
“Thank you Representative Omar for your advocacy for future generations and our Minnesota communities. We look forward to your continued leadership in Congress,” said Wightkin.
The Sierra Club mobilizes its members and supporters to elect endorsed candidates.
