If you're an outdoor adventurer → Take a hike, and become an activity leader

Volunteer activity leaders are vital to keeping a full list of hikes, backpacking, snowcamping, and other outings. Our Meetup page and the Sierra Club Adventures are certain to have many items of interest to you. Leader training is also available.

If you like hands-on, outdoor work → Plant and prune street trees in Sacramento!

Don't mind getting your hands dirty? We have a partnership with the Sacramento Tree Foundation, and need volunteers to lead and participate in upcoming events. Our first event is coming up on Saturday, December 9, 2017. See the Sacramento Sierra Club Meetup Page to sign up!  If you'd like to lead future tree planting activities for our group, contact us at SacramentoSierraClub@gmail.com.

If you want to help children and youth explore and enjoy the natural world → Contact the Sacramento chapter of Inspiring Connections Outdoors (ICO)

Formerly known as Inner City Outings, ICO is a volunteer community outreach program that takes children and young adults on fun and educational outdoor outings such as hikes, camping trips, snowshoe and snowplay days, kayaking and river-rafting trips and nature walks.  To volunteer or donate funds or equipment, contact Sacramento Inspiring Connections Outdoors.
