June 2 Program on Zoom - WNC's Beautiful Hiking Trails: How Carolina Mountain Club Creates & Maintains Them

There is always magic in the vistas of the Southern Blue Ridge and many of those spectacular views have been made possible by the Carolina Mountain Club (CMC). CMC maintains 420 miles of trails in WNC including the Appalachian, Mountains to the Sea, Art Loeb, Mt. Pisgah, and many other trails.

As you enjoy CMC's beautiful pictures and maps of gorgeous mountain scenery, you will learn about what it takes to maintain these trails, who does the work, and what makes people volunteer to do this work.

Tom Weaver, CMC Club President, CMC Trails Facilities Manager, and Paul Curtin, CMC Appalachian Trail Supervisor, will take you to many of WNC’s natural treasures while you never leave your living room on Zoom. But dust off your boots because you will want to get out on the trails by Saturday. Hopefully, you will learn new trails to hike.
