About Us

We are part of the North Carolina Chapter of the Sierra Club covering the western counties of Buncombe, Burke, Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Haywood, Jackson, Macon, Madison, McDowell, Mitchell, Swain, and Yancey.  Transylvania, Henderson, and Polk counties are included in our sister organization the Pisgah Group.

We meet the first Wednesday each month, 7:00 pm, in North Asheville at the UNC-Asheville Reuter's Center, Room 102, 1 University Heights, Asheville, NC 28804 .  See our upcoming speakers and topics in our newsletter and calendar.

We also host hikes, outings, educational programs, screenings, advocacy actions and other events.
