Lake Thunderbird Hike and Picnic

Join us in Norman for a Valentine's Day Hike and Potluck Picnic at Lake Thunderbird! Let’s celebrate our love of nature and community. We will hike the 2.8 mile Hog Creek Trail first, starting and ending at the Marina (at the end of Alameda St.) and then have the potluck at the Marina. You can join for the hike, the picnic, or for both, whatever works best for you. Please wear good walking shoes, dress weather appropriately, and also bring a picnic dish to share if you plan to join us for the potluck. The tentative time for the hike is 2:30 PM, with the potluck following at 4:30. But this time may change if the weather calls for an adjustment. Greenleaf Campout

Save the dates for our Spring campout at Greenleaf State Park, Saturday, March 14 - Monday, March 16. We have a few campsites reserved on a first come first serve basis, but if those fill up, perhaps you could reserve either a campsite or a cabin on your own. (The cabins are lovely CCC ones.) We will be there for two nights, but you are welcome to join us for just one night if you’d like. We’ll be doing a group hike each day, with the details to be announced, but the hikes will be moderate ones (3-5 miles, rolling hills, possibly somewhat rocky at times, but nothing too challenging.)
