Energy-Climate Committee

Mission

Help reduce California’s energy use and greenhouse gas emissions by all effective, timely, affordable, efficient, least polluting, socially just, and community-based means possible.  We advise Sierra Club California’s staff and membership on state legislative and regulatory issues related to clean energy and climate protection.

Consultation for Chapters: Committee experts are available to consult with any California Club Chapter and Group about any proposed energy facilities or transmission lines its area or, more generally, other energy-climate issues.  Under CNRCC Resolution, July, 2009, Chapters and Groups are requested to inform the Committee when such proposals are under consideration.
