Grassroot Network: PFAS Team

Help Protect Our Waters! The Grassroots Network PFAS Team is seeking Sierra Club Volunteers to test for PFAS in drinking, ground, and surface waters across the USA. Several states have started acting on pervasive PFAS pollutions, but most states are still neglecting these threats to public health.  Help us discover if there is significant PFAS pollution in our area.  This will involve traveling around and using field test kits we will provide, free of charge to you.  These kits are simple and easy to use. Contact Stephen C Brown if you would like more information or to volunteer for at least several hours a month.

The EPA issued this guidance memo in 2022, directing states to restrict PFAS dumping into rivers and wastewater, and test sewage waste for PFAS.  We wish to get elected officials in every state aware of PFAS contaminations faced by their constituents, so that effective legislation can be implemented.
