We’re hiring! After a recent leadership transition, Sierra Club Washington State is looking for our next Chapter Director to lead our grassroots advocacy with a strategic vision for a healthy climate, clean energy, environmental justice, and the protection of our forests and other public lands.

The Chapter Director works with volunteer leaders, as well as chapter and national staff to engage and mobilize our 25,000+ members and supporters across the State. Apply now!

We are looking for a seasoned professional with experience in the following areas:

  • Leading and coordinating large, multi-level teams of staff and volunteer leaders, such as boards of directors;
  • Managing legislative lobbying campaigns and programs, including coordination with coalitions, allies, and frontline communities;
  • Developing and implementing an annual fundraising plan that includes grants, fund appeals, cultivation of major donors and other activities; and
  • Supporting public and digital communications, as well as media relationships to maximize Chapter visibility and credibility.

The right candidate should have proven non-profit leadership experience, in-depth knowledge of grassroots organizing, is a strong advocate for environmental and climate justice, is confident in their ability to work collaboratively across urban and rural areas alike, and understands key barriers impacting historically under-represented populations in the state.
