Eco Warrior

Last November, Sierra Club President Loren Blackford received an email informing her that she’d been identified as an “Eco Warrior” by Mission Magazine, a not-for-profit “fashion philanthropic" media company. Produced twice a year, the magazine’s mission is “to engage socially conscious people and companies through the lens of fashion.” Each issue focuses on a different social cause or charity, with the profits going to benefit that cause. The brand new issue, in which Blackford is profiled, focuses on the environment.

"Every change in this world started when one person decided to take action and then built a movement around them," Blackford told Mission. "We know that every voice matters, and the Sierra Club is proof that by working together, we can turn one person’s effort into major change."
